- Thermodynamics studies participate in the analysis of a system and are conditioned by the action of external forces: mechanical energy (work) and heat energy. The experimental research activities at the LGC provide solutions to industrial issues involving phase equilibrium and determination of thermodynamic properties.

- The study of these phenomena of exchanges and separation of chemical components allows the LGC researchers who handle problems of complex fluid thermodynamics to contribute to the development of new tools and new methodologies. The results of their research allows them to validate thermodynamics systems.
